I have so many wonderful memories of times with Mrs. Dyer. One special time that comes to mind immediately is our trip to Stephenville TX to watch Bethany (Steve) play in a Championship Football Game. She and I sat in the back seat during the trip and she taught me how to make "plastic canvas coasters" with Redbirds on them. We made Dad stop at Walmart to get more yarn and plastic canvas. When we got to Stephenville we decided to make another trip to Walmart to buy Blue & Yellow streamers, balloons, markers and construction paper. Mom, Mrs. Dyer and I proceeded to make signs for the doors of the football players to "wish them Good Luck"!! While the 3 of us were hanging the signs on the doors we got the giggles... and couldn't stop laughing... I think it was because the tape was making a loud noise every time we tried to tear it off. Anyway, out one of the hotel doors comes Coach K and he's not happy with all the noise since the players are suppose to be resting. His facial expression was priceless when he saw that it was us.... 2 Moms and an older sister. We told him what we were doing and he simply said "nice, but wrap it up". He then reminded us of the "curfew"!! Needless to say we finished and promptly headed back to our hotel rooms, still giggling but now because we'd been reprimanded by Coach like little kids. Anytime we'd get together in the years after we would re-share that story... and giggle!!
