Obituary of Shirley Ann Tokoi

Leoti, Kansas

 

Shirley Ann Tokoi, age 79, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas.  Shirley was born August 3, 1939 at Ransom, Kansas, the daughter of Otto & Lorraine Berschauer Popp.  A resident of Leoti since 1976, she was a homemaker and had retired from Whitham Farms Feed Yard with over Twenty-Five years of service.

 

Shirley was a member of the Lakin Church of Christ in Lakin, Kansas.

 

On August 19, 1956 she married Hilton Tokoi at Utica, Kansas.  Hilton passed away on October 3, 2013 in Leoti, Kansas.

 

Shirley’s surviving family includes-

Three Children-

Laura & Dennis Fischer- Leoti, Kansas

Brent & Robyn Tokoi- Leoti, Kansas

Jennifer & Shane Armstrong- Garden City, Kansas

Nine Grandchildren-

Lacey Fischer- Leoti, Kansas

Jordan & Nicole Fischer- Leoti, Kansas

Abbey Fischer- Leoti, Kansas

Kylee Tokoi- Loveland, Colorado

Cooper Tokoi- Loveland, Colorado

Shelby Armstrong- Garden City, Kansas

Emma Armstrong- Garden City, Kansas

Reece Armstrong- Garden City, Kansas

McKynlie Armstrong- Garden City, Kansas

One Great Grandchild-

Gunnar Fischer- Leoti, Kansas

Four siblings-

Joyce & Roger Kirkhart- Wichita, Kansas

Barbara North- Lubbock, Texas

Patricia Seng- Austin, Texas

Myron & Minnie Popp- Utica, Kansas

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Lakin Church of Christ in Lakin, Kansas.  Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.

 

Friends may call from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Wichita County Health Center in care of the funeral home.
