I am sending my deepest condolences to Michelle, Aspyn and Jeffrey for the loss of such an amazing man. I've had boxers my entire life and so I was immediately drawn to Jeff and your family because it amazed me what one family could do for this breed. I used to eagerly wait for Jeff's posts and video's to see what he was up to...updates on the dogs as far as rescuing and doctors visits....rescue runs and It really was amazing how he drew us all in which was great. I have shed more tears for Jeff than some of my family members....he just had a special way about him. I will miss his funny posts that would get him in FB Jail...he's the only person I know who's ever been incarcerated on FB...:) I miss his political posts which he was so passionate about and if I was getting picked on with my own posts I would tag him...Jeff Nix help! and he would come and stick up for me on my own political posts ...lol.... there's just so many wonderful pieces of Jeff that you cant name them all. I hope you find solace in knowing how much he impacted so many people because we don't see many people like him and your family in this world. Praying for you to heal in this time of grief and pain. Jeff left such a wonderful legacy

To the Nix Family.
My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your family. I absolutely loved watching Jeff's stories on Facebook. He restored my faith in humanity. If in this world, we had 1/3 the compassion and caring he did this world would be a better place. I deeply respected him, never wanting attention on himself-no pics of him-just focus on his good works. He worked tirelessly to rescue dogs in need. No distance was too far.
Thank you to Michelle, Aspyn, and Jeffrey for sharing him with us. His work was not in vein. Worldwide, the impact has been felt of his loss. I know, in my heart, he sits with St Francis of Assisi Patron Saint of Animals.

Jeff touched the lives of so many people around the world. I mourn for him as I would a member of my family and I've never met him in person. Jeff's posts were always the highlight of my day. He usually made me laugh. Sometime he made me cry. Sometime I cried with him. Some of my friends don't understand why I am so upset over the person I never knew. But I did know Jeff. We all did. We know his kindness and compassion. We know his very awesome, warped, and twisted sense of humor. We know his politics. We know he loved his family. We know love Apple Crown, sandwiches, and taking pictures of Michelle asleep on the couch covered in Boxers. We know he would move heaven and earth to save a dog. He did not give up on finding Shy. He spent Christmas in a hotel with the Fab 5. Jeff's friend Larry who transported Old Man stated it perfectly when he referred to Jeff as a Boxer with 2 legs. This is why we love Jeff. He had the heart and he had the soul of a Boxer. Jeff Nix was the most special man I never knew.
RIP Jeff Nix, with love in Harahan, Louisiana

He invited me in to the Closed Community where I received compassion and support during her battle and after she lost her battle. Where to start Jeff was one of a kind man that we all loved. But for me he was truly a friend I had never met I had a boxer her name was Ginny someone poisoned her and it took almost every penny I had to save her and keep her going for 4 years Jeff helped me through this I put her down 3-28-18 at the age of 4. I was ready to die my pain was so bad from losing her I ended up meeting a person through the boxer group that was selling a puppy, me missing my Ginny and grieving I jumped on it sent a deposit drove over 400 miles one way only to be scammed no dog no money. Long story short your Dad heard my story I swore off the breed and he wouldn’t let me he stayed in touch and a lot of people in the the boxer group did some investigating and on June 18th I got 2 boxer baby sisters they are a handful. But with the love from Jeff and the people in the boxer group I’m very satisfied and a boxer momma again. Sorry for your loss and rest in heaven Jeff Nix you will be missed

What you did for so many dogs in need is amazing. You had a huge heart and it showed by your actions. Thank you for being the example of a kind and selfless human being.
I hope you are reunited with all the Boxers who have gone before you!

I never met nor did I ever exchange a single word with you Jeff, some how I feel as if I lost a brother.
I wrote this last summer watching my Wiggle butt playing and enjoying his carefree life, thought it fitting...
A Dog and his ball
You ever notice life
How it is for us all
Full of stress and strife
Not like a dog and his ball
We run and we rush
We scream yell and call
Then told to hush
Not like a dog and his ball
Our days are so hectic
Some of us go up the wall
We watch the clock tic
Not like a dog and his ball
We work ourselves to the bone
Some of us living on call
We complain moan and groan
Not like a dog and his ball
We work till we're old
We walk through the mall
Our memories we try and hold
Not like a dog and his ball
So stop to smell the flower
Take time to make that call
You are the one with the power
To be like a dog and his ball
RIP Jeff

We all get busy living in each day and suddenly we must go away.

I Loved them more than my life and I shall see them again in GODS ETERNAL Light.

I became friends with Jeff through a shared love of Boxers...as potentially a majority of us did. We weren't in the "inner circle" of his life but one thing was abundantly clear in absolutely every communication ever made, whether in jest (usually) or in honest to goodness heartfelt statements: Jeff ADORED Michelle, Aspyn, and Jeffrey. I can't fathom a legacy more beautiful than to have left my family knowing without a shadow of a doubt that they were so loved to the extent that the whole world truly knows it! And now I can only imagine where he will spread that message now that the heavens are open to him! My deepest condolences to the entire Nix family for their immense loss.

Michelle, aspyn, and jeffrey. My heart goes out to you in so many ways. Your husband, dad. Aspyn, i believe this is your senior year.. my daughter just graduated last year. Senior years are so emotional without a tragedy. Jeffrey at an age where they bond with dad at a diff level.no doubt no one has to tell you how special your dad was. There are no words to take your pain away or even lessen it. So many ache for you. You are truly deep in probably 100's of hearts. No words to explain how sorry i am for this tremendous loss in your life. God love you and wrap his arms around you. Love, hugs and prayers from ohio. Cindy hawes

I have followed Jeff through Everday Boxer on Facebook. I admired him so much for the selfless ways he helped rescue so many Boxers. My heart breaks for his family and the Boxer community. My babies will have their freedom burgers in his honor on Friday. Even though I never met him, I feel like a part of my family is gone. Boxers have that affect on people, they tend to bring souls together. RIP Jeff. Take care of my Criso and Spunky until I see them again.

I am a member of multiple boxer does as they are my very favorite bed of lovie. I went online daily to see posts that Mr. Nix made about his adventures and was amazed at how big his heart was. His true passion was anything boxer and boxer rescue related. He let us into his adventures and we, each of the members of the groups, looked forward to watching him. From Shye to Cheetos I've watched and laughed, felt his passion and been amazed.
The boxer nation has lost a true hero and to his family I thank them for sharing him with all of us. My heartfelt condolences and prayers that you find peace and understanding. May God's hand be with you and guide you in the upcoming days.

To the Nix Family:
You are a fabulous family even though we’ve never met. Jeff let us into your lives and boxer rescue. He made boxer lovers all over the world love you and the boxers. There was no length Jeff wouldn’t go to help a boxer in need! Just know that your father made more people smile in this world at a time we really needed it and got furever homes for countless boxers all across the US. I have been following Jeff since I saw a crazy post about man looking for his boxer shy baby. I was shocked at all he went through and finally caught her. We were all pulling for him to find her. Ever since, I was hooked on a family name Nix who love that crazy man but also took care of, got them healthy, and socialized all the boxers he rescued. I did not and would not believe the postings that Jeff was gone until I read Michelle’s note. It too my breath away! How could we have so much love and respect for a man most of had never even seen a picture or had the pleasure to meet. It was Jeff’s passion and dedication to his family but also to abused, starved, abandoned boxers. His personality would just make smile, laugh, and then full on belly laughing by the time he was finished. Michelle, Aspen, and Jeffrey I will be thinking of you guys every time I’m on Facebook because I was already ready for Jeff’s silly rescue video, or vet visits, updates on the dogs, or whatever the heck he felt like talking about. I know he was not blood family to me but I feel like I’ve lost a brother. I want to express my most sincere condolences to your entire family including his extended family.

Dear Nix Family,
The words "My deepest sympathies" seem hollow, cliché, and completely inadequate to describe how all of us feel about your loss. Like so many, I only knew Jeff through the Boxers Facebook page, but I feel as though I've lost a true friend. Even though I have been deeply touched by (and have shed quite a number of tears over) his passing, I know you all have lost something much, much greater and we, the community of fellow Boxer lovers worldwide, mourn your profound loss for and with you. Jeff's presence and passion is irreplaceable and we, as a community, must find ways to try to fill that void. It will not be easy. He was what I like to call an "ordinary angel" - someone who walks among us but also shines in a most extraordinary way. I feel like we all lost an everyman and a hero. As you move forward though the following days, months, and years, just know that the hearts of thousands and thousands of your fellow Boxer lovers, from Boston to Brisbane, are with you through it all. We are here for all of you, no matter what.
With love, compassion, and the deepest respect,
The Hurst Family

I know God must have needed an angel to care for all our fur babies in heaven and he couldn't have chosen a better one. I will work hard to continue the legacy he started. I will rescue Boxers for the rest of my life.
RIP Jeff and thank you for all you gave to the boxer community. Your help, your humor, your honesty and most of all yourself. Thank you Michelle, Aspen and Jeffrey for sharing your husband and father with all of us. He was truly one of the Greats!

I may not have ever met Jeff in person, but I truly feel like he changed my life and always gave me hope in the future. Jeff was always there for those in need, including all of the boxers that he rescued. He had such a giant heart and a true passion to rescue boxers. He also had a strong passion for his family. He was always posting about his children's achievements in school and sports. He will always be remembered for all of the wonderful things that he did. Jeff had a personality that was and will forever be unmatched. Whenever I was upset or feeling down, he had a boxer video, a funny comment, or a funny meme to cheer me up. I looked up to him for all that he did for those around him. At the drop of a hat, Jeff would take off on overnight or several day trips to rescue boxers that needed help. Jeff was a one of a kind man that will never be duplicated. Jeff, we all love you and your family!

There aren't many people in this world that have had such an impact on so many people. You sir are very respected. You were a kind soul with a twisted sense of humor lol. I admire all you did to save these pups from the conditions they were in. Taken from this earth too soon and it's not fair. Not fair to you, your wife and especially your kids. Dear Nix Family,
Though I did not know your beloved husband, father and friend I want to express my deepest sympathy for your massive loss. I am in Australia, I have been following the boxer pages and Jeffs posts/videos for a while now, and I thouroughly enjoyed them. Whilst I remained quiet and rarely commented I always watched, and I looked forward to seeing my news feed with his posts and videos. I am Boxer crazy!!!
There are no words that anyone can say however, I do sincerely hope that you find comfort in knowing how highly thought of he was, how much his posts and just the comforting thought of knowing what lengths he would go to to rescue these babes will be missed. How other boxer lovers truly appreciated the work he did, the selfless act of love he gave to save their precious lives and find them their forever homes. That will never be forgotten - he was truly a hero!
You were very blessed to have had him , as were all of those beautiful fur babies. Your husband, father, son , friend , uncle, cousin was truly a Super Star
May you Rest In Sweet Beautiful Peace Sir Jeffrey Nix

Thank you Michelle, Aspyn, and Jeffrey for opening your home to us all and sharing Jeff and all the Boxers with us in your daily lives. Jeff, our Boxer Hero will never be forgotten.

My mentor, my friend, my bossman, my tongue-in-cheek political nemesis... I don’t know what I’ll do without our daily banter, your guidance in rescue, your non-stop jokes and my cackle. Our tight group will forever be bonded because of the leadership you gave us. I thank you Jefferson, my buddy. I will miss you forever. You are loved.
Your beautiful family will always have us to support them as long as they need us. My heart hurts for all.

To the entire Nix family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Jeff was amazing and the absolute best advocate for so many Boxer lovers around the world. He was larger than life and touched so many that never even met him. I'm honored to have met you, his beautiful and generous wife. We will always remember and admire his selfless and loving spirit.. He touched so many lives, you all did in your own way. Rest in peace St. Nix...
