Wow! I just watched the video and appreciated it so much. Thank you family and friends of Rich for capturing his life lived well and sharing it with us. I wanted to share how Rich has personally touched the lives of our family. There was a time when our house was threatened with flood waters caused from rains falling here but also from ice melting and flowing down from Colorado. Rich told Tom to get the truck and sand and he would get the helpers to sand bag our home. And that he certainly did. He gathered more than a dozen of his friends and our home was sandbagged and safe in a short time. That was Rich all the time. A genuine friend, willing to help wherever he could with whatever the need to whomever was in need. He called Tom from the hospital. He told him he didn't think he would go on the donor list for a heart and shared his reasons why. That conversation Tom shared with me and some of what I've heard he shared with others resonates with me that he knew his savior and resigned to leaving here and going to his heavenly home. I heard he told some he'd see them on the other side. We will miss him so much here but we will remember and speak of the things he said throughout his life time with us, especially in these last days of his life on this earth. I am certain that there will be souls won to the Lord and lives changed for the better because Rich lived among us and called us friends. Our prayers are with you, Kurtis, and family and friends of Rich as we know this is a hard loss. God Bless You. The Tom West families

Uncle Rich, I will miss your stories and the fact that you were a sweet hearted man. I will never forget the way that you wanted so badly for Lily to be happy and entertained when Grandpa passed. You looked everywhere for those batteries for that angel and even went to the store for them. Then, you made sure that Lily got that angel. Thank you for being a good uncle and a caring man! You will be missed! Also, you did a great job with Kurtis! I know he will be making you proud every single day of his life as you watch him and Tamara from above! Tell Grandpa I miss him and give him a big hug!

To my beloved Brother, who I will always be indebted to! You have always been there for me. I remember as a kid, Mom and Dad went to a school play at Beaver Flats, with Ross and Tom I do believe. I had the croop, and you were there to take care of me! You tried to get me to the school to Mom and Dad and got the Jeep stuck. You used to take me to school in your Mustang from Wichita county. A song always came on the radio I will always remember! “Pilot of the Airwaves.” You will be missed but not forgotten!! I love you big brother and give Dad and the rest of the family up there hugs and kisses for me!!

What a bright and shining star you all have now. I have known Rich my whole life. From school at Beaver Flats to Scott City, Rich was always the life of the party. I loved his stories and his laugh. He is going to be missed by so many people, but what a wonderful day it will be when we get to see him again. May God wrap his loving arms around each of you during this difficult time. Much love and hugs to you all!!

We are sad, beyond belief. Rich was such a dear friend. Finding the words to express our feelings as this time is very difficult. He was a sweet soul who knew kindness beyond measure. One of those friends you knew he was always there for you. We had so many special times together that we will treasure forever. I know he is in a better place but there will be an empty spot every time we get together as friends left behind that no one will ever fill. Leave alone who will let us know the latest weather report! We feel blessed to have known such an amazing thoughtful man. Our condolences go out to all the family as you struggle through this. We are in prayer for all of you. God bless!
