We wish to relay our deepest condolences to your family at the loss of Mr. Garten. Being an extraordinary man with an extraordinary life, we should all strive to emulate his character, work ethic and dedication to family and community. Kansas Honor Flight had the great privilege to transport Perry and his son on our very first flight in 2012, with him of course being our most senior veteran on board. I will miss delivering Meals On Wheels to Perry and honoring him at the annual KHF/4-H Chili Feed fundraiser. Godspeed sir.
