Obituary of Morris Dean Smith

Morris “Dean” Smith, age 60, passed away peacefully at his residence in Garden City, Kansas on Sunday, August 5, 2018 following a terminal cancer diagnosis. He was born on May 23, 1958, the son of Wanda Laverne Anderon Smith in Garden City, Kansas.
A lifetime resident of Garden City, Dean worked as a carpenter and lived a simple and peaceful life, loved science and enjoyed science fiction.

Ida M. Tuttle of Shawnee, Oklahoma
Doris J. Cochran of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Mary Amos of Holcomb, Kansas
Nancy Henderson of Aurora, Colorado
Margaret Smith of St. Francis, Kansas
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Gary Smith.
Cremation has been chosen and there will be no services.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Dean Smith Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, Kansas, 67846.
