Obituary of Jean Ann Larson
GARDEN CITY
Jean Ann Larson, age 78, passed away at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 28, 1940 the daughter of E.F and Edythe Lee (Stephens) Ware in Denver, Colorado.
She was a member of the Garden City community since 1943. Jean Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter X, UMW Crist-Olomon Circle, Fortnightly, Gray Ladies Volunteer of St. Catherine Hospital, Methodist Youth Fellowship leader and a member of the Builders Sunday School Class all of Garden City, Kansas.
On January 2, 1959 she married the love of her life Andrew Larson in Raton, New Mexico. He survives with a heavy burden of sorrow sustained by his faith, family and friends.

Jean Ann was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles. Mrs Larson enjoyed being a part of the downtown business district. She worked for many years at Books Etc and was owner of Golden Crown Hallmark for 17 years. Jean Ann was a vibrant, joyful, fierce and faithful helpmate to her husband. Her devotion to her family was limitless and knew no bounds. She enjoyed being a boss, employee, volunteer, election worker, spouse, farmwife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved collecting everything from animals to royalty. Jean Ann traveled extensively and basked in God's glory whether it was a grand cathedral or the ordinary beauty of a flower. She lived life with generous heart, eager to lend a hand when needed, treating everyone as family. She excelled as a mother with unconditional love for her offspring providing, protecting and supporting them all with a fierce love of a Mama Bear. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and she gave with all her strength until God called her home.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Garden City on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:30am. Visitation hours will be from 10am until 8pm Monday June 11, 2018 at the Price and Sons Funeral Home with the family present from 5pm until 7pm.
Memorials may be presented to the First United Methodist Church or Asbury Seminary in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas
