Obituary of Loretta Marie Gorman

Loretta Marie Gorman, age 88, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.  She was born on January 17, 1930 in Hale, Colorado, the daughter of Fred & Marie Tuttle Proehl.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1958 moving from Anderson, Missouri, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary both of Scott City, Kansas.

On July 18, 1948 she married Earl Gorman in Kanarado, Kansas.  He passed away on September 12, 2014 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her One Son - Orville & Marcine Gorman of Augusta, Kansas, One Daughter - Barbara & Chuck Brobst of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Marvin Proehl of Medford, Oregon, One Sister - Norma Wright of Medford, Oregon, Five Grandchildren - Linn & Penny Gorman of Log Lane Village, CO, Chris & Kristi Gorman of Lacey, Washington, Jay & Rae Gorman of Ulysses, Kansas, Jeremy & Jen Brobst of Cutler, Indiana, Larissa Brobst of Scott City, Kansas and Nine Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Brother - Raymond Proehl, One Step Brother - Carl Proehl, and Two Step Sisters - Velma Beechley and Velda Koehn.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 with Steve Payne, Chris Gorman & Henry Gorman presiding.

Memorials may be made to the Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
