Ramona Ruth (Reifschneider) Krenzel, age 89, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her home in rural Wichita County, Kansas.  Mrs. Krenzel was born September 8, 1928 in Coldwater, Kansas, the daughter of Seth & Harriet (Bradstreet) Reifschneider.  A lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas, she was a graduate of Wichita County Grade School and High School.  She attended Colorado Women’s College for two years, graduating with her teaching certificate and after several years; she earned her Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Denver and continued her education at Fort Hays State University.  She taught for USD 467, Wichita County, Kansas for her entire career of thirty-three and a half years.  Mrs. Krenzel loved listening to music, reading and gardening as well as traveling and visiting different places in the United States and Europe.

 

Mrs. Krenzel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas.

 

On August 7, 1949 she married Donald Krenzel in Leoti, Kansas.

Sheri & Kenneth Goodrow- Albuquerque, New Mexico

Kathy & Kevin Mullen- Leoti, Kansas

Two sons-

Steven & Rosa Krenzel- Leoti, Kansas

Troy & Robin Zvolanek-Krenzel- Rogers, Arkansas

Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren

Her parents and a brother and his wife, Bill & Phyllis Reifschneider precede her in death.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, May 18, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas with Terry Laws officiating.

Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.

 

Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

 

Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Library in care of the funeral home.
