flood of memories come to mind....summer days in 1975 with the Dixon family in Tribune educated this Irish young lad on the values and faith of the Mid West
Mr and Mrs Dixon opened their home and heart to me ....kind , sincere, loving and nurturing are a few of their wonderful attributes
I fondly remember for years after my visit Shirley would cook the traditional Irish dish of boiled bacon and cabbage for St Patrick"s day
The Dixon Family are very much part of my American life....
You may now rest in peace Shirley,

I am deeply sorry for your loss Dixon family. Sadly, many people around the world are dealing with the same loss as you. They wonder, 'Will I ever see my loved one again?' Please be assured that this is not the end. The bible promises us at John 5: 28, 29 that many who have died will be resurrected. So, you can have the opportunity to see Shirley again. Others sometimes ask, 'Won't they just suffer and die again?'. The bible says at Revelation 21:3,4, that God will remove death and anything that causes pain or tears. So, all those who are resurrected will have good health and not have to die again. Imagine what a wonderful time that will be!. If you would like to know more I would be glad to show you what the bible says. Until then, I hope this thought brings you comfort.

What a wonderful Aunt I have lost in Shirley. She was a dear person who was very cheerful and positive even in bad circumstances. She was a good listener and a great cook. Fun to visit, she was always so hospitable and very encouraging of others. I admired her as a musician because she was a good pianist. But most importantly, she was a fantastic mom and grandma to her family. I will miss her!

My condolences go to your family.
I really enjoyed the classes Shirley taught us.
I visited the Long Term when I was in hospital in Tribune. Shirley waved to me, we didn't get to visit very long. I really treasured her friendship.
