Obituary of Joseph E. Mader

Garden City

Joseph E. Mader, age 87, died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village.  He was born on November 21, 1930 in Granada, Colorado, the son of John and Kate Mader. 

He has been a Garden City resident most of his life. He married Charlene Pullman.  She preceded him in death in 1973.

Joe was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving during Korea.

Survivors include:

    Two Sons            Rick and Nancy Mader of Holcomb, Kansas

                    Gary Mader of Arizona

    Two Daughters        Deb and Gary Pickett of Wichita, Kansas

                    Sandy and Randy Ardery of Greensburg, Kansas

    One Brother            George Mader of Arizona

    One Sister            Annabelle Newsome of Garden City, Kansas

Ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one Son, Doug Mader; three brothers; four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 10-8 at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas immediately following the funeral service.
