Obituary of Kenneth Harms

GARDEN CITY

 

Kenneth D. Harms, age 82, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his residence in Finney County, Kansas.  He was born on January 29, 1935 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Leonard and Iola Kuhlmann Harms.

 

A lifetime resident of Finney County, he worked as a farmer.

 

He is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion both of Garden City, Kansas.

 

Kenneth is a veteran of the U.S. Airforce.

 

On November 26, 1966, he married Virgina M. Harms in Garden City.  She preceded him in death on March 28, 2006.

 

Survivors include:

    One Son            John R. Harms of Jacksonville, Flordia

    Two Daughters        Jennifer Irsik of Garden City, Kansas

                    Johanna Eckert of Garden City, Kansas

    Two Sisters            Yvonne Schneider of Dodge City, Kansas

                    Jean Loveday of Flag Pond, Tennessee

    Ten grandchildren, numerous Great-Grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garden City, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 10-8 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.

Interment will be held immediately following at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City, Kansas.

 

Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
