Obituary of Lyle Bitikofer

GARDEN CITY

Lyle Bitikofer, age 67, died on Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home in Garden City, Kansas.  He was born on August 11, 1950 in Goessell, Kansas the son of Ralph and Kathryn Neufeld Bitikofer.  

He has been a resident of the Garden City community for twenty years moving from Hesston, Kansas.  Lyle was a master electrician, locksmith, and a friend to all.  Lyle also was a past firefighter and fire chief of the Hesston Fire department for 27 years and has been employed by Garden City Community College since 2010.

On August 30, 1997 he married Jan Rishel Horner in Garden City, Kansas.  She Survives.

    Three Sons            Jeff Bitikofer of Hays, Kansas

                    Steve Bitikofer of Hesston, Kansas

                    Jordan and wife Crystal Horner of Olathe, Kansas

    One Daughter            Carli Horner of Thornton, Colorado

    One Brother            Lauren Bitikofer of Longview, Texas

    Three Grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 -7:00 on Thursday, October 26, 2017.  The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Bible Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas.

Interment will be on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Spring Valley Mennonite Church in Canton, Kansas.
