Obituary of Leona Louise Roth

GARDEN CITY

Leona Louise Roth, age 80, died at her residence in Garden City, Kansas.  She was born on December 13, 1936, the daughter of Herman and Marie Hafner Heinitz in Garden City, Kansas.  She was a Mother, Homemaker, and a Pharmacy Technician.

She graduated for the Deerfield School District in Deerfield, Kansas and worked at the drug store in Deerfield after graduation.  Upon her marriage, she was a farm wife and mother.  She was active as a girl scout leader and PTO leader.  She also received her certification as a pharmacy technician.  She enjoyed many kinds of crafts including embroidery and knitting.

On January 23, 1960 she married Lawrence G. Roth in Garden City, Kansas.  He Survives

    Two daughters        Judy and Jerome Irsik of Garden City, Kansas

                    Kimberlee and Arthur Green, Jr. of Lakin, Kansas

    Four Grandchildren    Joshua Irsik

                    Matthew Green

                    Shaylee Green

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will be from 12-6 on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 and from 10-5 on Wednesday, July 5, at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.

Rosary will be said on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.

Interment will follow mass at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
