I just heard of Sonny's passing. I am a cousin that lives in Oregon. In the 1940's he made several trips to Oregon where we became good friends and than 1945 I went to Kansas.
Over the years we lost contact but I thought often of him. We had such great times together. My love and prayers to the Wife and family.

Sonny had a certain signature wave when meeting him on the road...one index finger raised off the steering wheel. I enjoyed that; he was always pleasant. I have such good memories of growing up nearby. He raised an amazing family that I cherish, and I'm proud to call them my cousins. I'm in WA so I can't be present to show my support, but my heart is there.
We extend our love and care to all of you a this time--Richard & Becky, Dedra, Scott & Dione, Mark & Amber. and all the Grand and Great grandchildren. He was a great guy. Enjoyed Him and Pat so much.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was such a kind and gentle man. I always had such respect for both he and Pat. My sympathy and prayers go out for you all.

We are very saddened by Sonny's passing. He was such a special man. We enjoyed his sense of humor, his hearty chuckle & the twinkle in his eye. He & Pat were so much fun to be around. Will now miss them both in the present but will be remembered always.
