Obituary of Frances Crist

Friend, Kansas Frances Crist, age 85, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on July 23, 1921 in Moundridge, Kansas the daughter of James E. and Alta Frances Mitchell Clinton. A resident of Garden City since August of 2005 moving from Scott City, Kansas she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren of Friend, Kansas. She also belonged to the Scott City Garden Club, the Study Club and the Art Club. She enjoyed painting, playing the organ and traveling. On March 16, 1941 she married Alfred L. Crist @ Quinter, Kansas. He died March 5, 1996 @ Wichita, Kansas. Survivors Include: Three Daughters; Sharolyn Leis of Garden City, Kansas, Marsha McConnell of Scott City, Kansas and Cynthia Taylor of Glendale, Arizona. One Brother; Ward Clinton of Scott City, Kansas. Two Sisters; Jeanine Schmidt of Scott City, Kansas and Norma Moore of Burlington, Colorado. Six Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas with Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding. Interment will be held in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Frances Crist Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Scott City.
