I was terribly sorry to hear about Uncle Joe's passing. I remember fondly and quite well our visit to you in Tribune--is it possible?--half a century ago. My condolences for your loss and my deepest sympathies.

The world is going to a sadder place without Joe in it. I met and worked for Joe when I was 18 & I have yet to meet a man I respected as much as him. He was a great mentor and friend to me when I needed both. I enjoyed hearing his many good stories and will always remember his great laugh. It was so much fun sharing the laughter with him. If I am granted a place in the next life, I'll be looking to forward to seeing him & listening to his wonderful laugh again. I can honestly say that I have thought about him all my life.
I am happy for him and sad for the family. He left us all an example of how to live a good, full life.
We have family flying in from the Philippines for a grandson's wedding and so we regret that we can't attend the funeral for this great man who has played a special part in teaching me so many things about living & working in this life. I'll never forget him!
Dear Aunt Helen and precious family, we are so saddened by the passing of Uncle Joe. Also we are so glad we got to see and visit with him at the wedding a couple of years ago. We know what a loss it is for you but God will be glad to have him with Him and will make Joe an Angel to watch over your family. Joe is always with you.
