Rob:
Reading your Father's obituary makes me wish I had met him. Only the best people try not only to make his progeny better than he, but also the world around him. I can literally visualize the little league park and the purity of spirit that I'm sure it embodies. I can also now understand why you are the compassionate and kind person that you are. No matter your age, you cannot be prepared to lose a parent. I lost my Mother nearly four years ago. Take solace in the fact that he'll always be with you. In the coming months and years, you'll inevitably have moments where you reflect upon a saying he had or a teaching he gave you and realize that he's not really gone at all. May my deepest condolences be with you and your family.
Your friend,
Chip Cossé

Rob,
Having read your father's obituary, I now know what (rather, who) has made you the great man you are today. Although you may not feel it at this moment, you are so fortunate to have had a father who was not only a great man but who lasted so long and you can take what I am about to tell you as gospel as I have lived through this myself. However rough today may seem, time will come when your memories of your father will center solely around the good times you shared together and none of the difficult. Although the loss of my own father was incredibly difficult, time has had a way of altering my memories of him so that only the good rises to the surface, without any of the difficulty surrounding his loss. In my memories of him, he seems to be getting younger and I need look no further than my own little boys who not only look like him but speak and act like him in so many ways that it is incredible how he lives on through these boys who he never even had the chance to meet. Thank God for good fathers. You, my friend, have not only my condolences today but my envy as you have obviously been blessed with a great dad who you have had throughout your adult life. If I can do anything for you, you know that you only need let me know as I am always here for you my friend,
My very deepest condolences and respect, to you and your entire family,
Your friend,
Jeff Speer

A nice guy ........ When my brother Richard and I wanted to mow yards, (when we were young) we couldn't afford our lawn mowers, My Dad Louis talked to Mr McDaniel and they worked out a deal for Richard and I to get a new gas lawn mower each, mine was red and white and Richards was a greenish blue ........... we made payments to Mr McDaniel ever week until they were paid off ............. We and others in Scott City were blessed because of the trust this man put in us ............ Thank You so Much ......... George
