So sorry to learn that Joe has passed away. I had the privilege of teaching with Joe at High Plains Grade School. He cared deeply for his students and was always quick with a smile and a kind word. I remember his love of reading and the discussions we had concerning books we were reading. Our sincere condolences.

Joe was a good friend and fellow educator. We first met at Fort Hays where he was the RA for our dorm. He was a mentor for me my first two years of college. We met again when we moved to Leoti and he welcomed us. We are blessed to have known him. Steve and Carol Aschenbrenner

We are so sorry for your loss. We are saddened by this news and will really miss Joe. We talked to him several times on the phone at length while he was in the hospiral. We are not going to be able to come for his service as all 3 of our vehicles are not working. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow. We will send money for masses. Love you all.

My sincere sympathy to all of Joe's family and friends. Joe was my roommate at Fort Hays. He was always full of life and fun. I can still hear his laugh. He was truly a good person and friend. He will be missed. I will always remember him and the person that he was. May he find eternal rest.

I was fortunate enough to attend High Plains School as a child and spent several years wih Mr. Z as my teacher and Principal! He is someone I always looked up to and loved. He had a very caring and compassionate heart and his happiness and laughter were contagious!!! Rest In Peace dear soul!
