Obituary of Janet Marie Linenberger

Janet Linenberger, age 66, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on October 2, 1948 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Peter William and Rose Mary Brungardt Brugardt. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the VFW Womens Auxillary all of Garden City, Kansas. A lifetime resident of Finney County, Kansas, she worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker all her life. She attended grade school at Holcomb Grade School, St. Mary Catholic School thru the 8th grade, High School was at the Immaculate Conception Prep School in Great Bend, Kansas, two years of college at the Immaculate Conception Convent in Great Bend, Kansas. She entered the novitiate at the Immaculate Conception Convent where she became Sister Mary Jonathan. On May 4, 1968 she married John Linenberger at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. He survives Survivors include: Three Children Robert Linenberger of Garden City, Kansas Jonathan Linenberger of Garden City, Kansas Shawna Linenberger of Garden City, Kansas One Brother Michael Burgardt of Tacoma, Washington Three Sisters Patricia Briggs of Garden City, Kansas Laurie Gerber of Garden City, Kansas Coleen Burgardt of Logan, Utah Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, and one Brother, David Burgardt. Mass of resurrection will be held on Tuesday, July, 14, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. Vigil service will be held on Monday, July, 13, 2015 at 7:30 P.M.. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Garden mmediately following funeral mass. Memorials are suggested to be made to the Janet Linenberger Memorial Fund.
