I WISH TO EXPRESS MY SORROW AT LOSING A WOMAN I REFERREDTO AS ONE OF MY SECOND MOM'S. SHE AND HER HUSBAND BACK IN THE 80'S AFTER THEY WERE MARRIED, I BELIEVE, OWNED AND OR OPERATED SNOOPY'S A TAVERN ON THE WEST SIDE OF GARDEN CITY, KANSAS. AND MOM TREATED ME LIKE ONE OF HER CHILDREN. I REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS CLOSING TIME, HOBART WOULD GET ON THE MICROPHONE AND IN HIS LOUD BOOMING VOICE WOULD SAY "COME ON FOLKS IT'S TIME TO GO HOME!!!" MOM WOULD SOMETIMES BE AT THE FRONT DOOR MAKING SURE NO ONE LEFT WITH A GLASS IN THEIR HAND OR CAN IN THEIR HAND MAKING SURE EVERYONE WAS OK. OR BOTH OF THEM WOULD MAKE SURE NO FIGHTS WOULD HAPPEN IN THE PARKING LOT. MOM YOU WILL BE MISSED. ON ANOTHER NOTE MY DAD ED GALLAWAY KNEW MARY WHEN THEY BOTH WORKED AT SOUTHWESTERN BELL, HE AS A TELEPHONE MAN AND MOM WORKED AS A TELEPHONE OPERATOR. SHE WAS A GREAT LADY WHO HAS DONE A LOT AND SEEN ALOT.. KIM MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU!!!! I'M SORRY I WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT, I WORK WEEKENDS.
