Obituary of David Bernard Mick

David Bernard Mick, age 64, died on Friday, January 2, 2015 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 24, 1950 in Hays, Kansas, the son of Frank and Mary Thummel Mick. He worked for the City of Scott City Street and Park Department. He lived in Lincoln, Kansas before moving to Scott City, Kansas in 1966. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree knight, and the VIP Board, all of Scott City, Kansas. On August 10, 1980 he married Alberta Shannon Jeffrey in Oakley. She passed away on December 2, 2010 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors Include his Three Brothers - Ronald and Loretta Mick of Peryton, Texas, Richard and Carol Mick of Colby, Kansas, John Mick of Scott City, Kansas,Three Sisters -Marilee and Darrell Cramer of Scott City, Kansas, Marlene and Wilford O’Connor of Hutchinson, Kansas, Margaret and Charles Strouse of Ellsworth, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Gerard Mick; one sister, Kathleen Mick. Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Memorials may be given to the St. Catherine Hospice, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or the Scott City V.I.P % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 Sunday, January 4, 2014 and 10:00 - 5:00 Monday, January 5, 2014 at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
