Obituary of Constance Diane Carman

Garden City, Kansas Constance “Connie” Carman, age 70, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on October 25, 1944 in Underwood, North Dakota the daughter of Edward and Bernice Mittleider Steinwand. A resident of Garden City since 1966, she had been an administrative assistant for McGraw Trucking. On March 6, 1962 she married Carl Dean Carman in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Other Survivors include: 1 Daughter, Crystal (& Donnie) Guerrero of Holcomb, Kansas; Her Father, Ed (& Bonnie) Steinwand of Larned, Kansas; 3 Brothers, Tim (& Charmaine) Steinwand of Garden City, Kansas, Dan Steinwand of Garden City, Kansas and David (& Penny) Steinwand of Columbia, Missouri; 2 Sisters, Bonnie (& Jimmy) Miller of Silver Spring, Maryland and Eva Marie Barber of Garden City, Kansas; 4 Grandchildren, Shannon Schwindt-Wills of Lakin, Kansas, Derek (& Sabrina) Schwindt of Olathe, Kansas, Devin (& Kristi) Carman of Holcomb, Kansas and Shannae Carman-Guerrero of Olathe, Kansas; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Ryley, Braydon & Ian Wills of Lakin, Kansas; 17 Nieces & Nephews, 15 Great Nieces & Nephews and 1 Great Great Nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother. Memorial services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Garden Valley Church in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no public calling times. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Connie Carman Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
