Obituary of Geraldine K Duran

Garden City, Kansas Geraldine Kathleen Duran, age 81, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born November 12, 1933 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Glen T. and Ruth Rodriguez- Perez. A Lifetime resident of Garden City, Kansas she was a pastry chef at St. Catherine Hospital and a Para-Professional for USD 457. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, Alter Guild, and the Daughters of Isabella, all of Garden City, Kansas. On September 19, 1964 Geraldine was united in marriage to Jerry B. Duran at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He Survives. Survivors include: Two Son, David and Mindy Duran of Garden City, Kansas, Glen and Karen Duran of Buhler, Kansas; One Daughter, Loretta and Cory King of Garden City, Kansas; One Brother, Rudolph and Gloria Perez of Wichita, Kansas; Seven Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters. Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the St. Mary Catholic Church. Friends may call from 12:00pm-5:00 pm on Sunday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. The family requests that memorials be given to the St. Mary’s Catholic School in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
