Obituary of Lois M Esslinger

Lois M. Esslinger, age 100, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on June 18, 1914 in Clifton, Kansas the daughter of Ed & Jessie Graham Lambert. A Garden City resident since 2003, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Esslinger was a member of the St. Dominic Church of Garden City, KS. On June 25, 1936 she married Merlin Esslinger in Clifton, Kansas. He died in October of 1980 in Liberal, Kansas. She later married Edward Stroyek. He died in December of 2012. Survivors include: One Son, Robert Esslinger of Garden City, Kansas; Seven Grandchildren, Eighteen Great-Grandchildren and numerous Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Two Sons, Gary & Merle Esslinger, One Grandson, Michael Esslinger, One Daughter-in-Law, Pam Esslinger, Two Brothers & Three Sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Father Reginald A. Urban presiding. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas. Friends may call from 1-5pm, Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to Lois Esslinger Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
