Carlotta, my heart is with you. Mary was a favorite aunt and friend. I always looked forward to visiting her when I was in Leoti. My memories of her go way back when we would come out to your place to play while our mothers visited. Mary will be missed by many and our lives were rich by having known her.
Love,
Geri Anne

Among Mary's many talents was her gift of storytelling. Detailed in her delivery, she willingly shared her life history, from stories of her youth and her experience in a Milwaukee convent, to her train ride home after deciding to leave it. She even recalls where she got her hair done and what she was wearing when she arrived in Marienthal!, Woven in to the stories of the years following were her love of family, church, and most of all, God. A prayerful woman, she spent time daily with Him.
A second gift I will always treasure was the way Mary could make others laugh!! I learned only lately that her father was much the same. She told stories and daily events in such a way that the humor in it all quickly emerged.
To all those who loved her, my sympathies. To Mary, thank you for sharing your life with those of us who adored you so!!

Mary was a class act! Always enjoyed visiting with her. I can see her rejoicing with her family right now. Probably singing with Loretta, who had a beautiful voice. Rest in peace Mary! You lived life gracefully! Roxie
