I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I have fond memories of the stories he would tell even if some of them stretched the truth a little bit. I will miss his smile, laugh, and good nature. My sympathies to his entire family.

I am shocked and so very sorry to have gotten this news! Bob and I shared so many memories of our duck hunting and fishing trips and of course having our much needed conversations back in the early '70s about our Viet Nam days.. I never got to visit Bob for the past several years but he has been continuously in my mind and will be always. I'll Miss you Bobby. My sincere condolences to the family, especially Bobby lynn, Louise, and Jim & Patty. rm

Bob was our friend and classmate. Janice worked with Bob on the High School reunion committee to which he was so dedicated all of these years. He even hosted a reunion party at his home for all of our classmates. I was on the track team with Bob and what a great athlete he was. We ran the "weight men's" 440 yd. relay together at Dodge City in 1964 and won the gold metal. It was a Kansas high school best at the time, not to mention what a great football player he was. I always called Bob whenever I came to GC to visit. Most of the time I got his voice mail because he was so active. We will both miss Bob especially at the upcoming 50th reunion in Sept. Our prayers go out to the family.
Sincerely,
Dan & Janice Laughlin

We were so sorry to hear of Bobs passing. We were lucky enough to get to see and spend some time with him just a few weeks ago during our visit with Cliff & Cheryl. Its hard to believe he wont be there on our next visit, but he will always be watching over all of those he loved. Our prayers are with all his family and friends.

Dear Bobbie, Todd and family
We are so sad to hear about the loss of Bob. When we got the call Saturday night our hearts pained for the family. We spent the last six years getting to know this amazing man while following the Hays Braves baseball team. We spent a lot of time away from the park with him and we could see how he loved your family. Bob was always so kind to all of the kids he interacted with. This summer I thanked him for taking Nick to Branson on a baseball trip because we couldn't make it and he said "your kids are like my grand kids". It takes a special man to say that. Bob made a lasting impression with many kids and their parents here in Hays. Bob you will be missed, I hope you and Sherry are watching the kids play ball in heaven.
You will be missed.
Brian, Erin, Riley, and Nick
