Obituary of Robert Taylor

Robert Martin " Bob " Taylor, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Bob was born February 9, 1945 at Garden City, Kansas the son of Frank & Esther Watson Taylor. A lifetime resident of Leoti, Kansas, he was a truck driver. Bob served his country during the Viet Nam War as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He recieved the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Aircraft Crewman Badage. Bob attended the Assembly of God Church in Leoti, Kansas and was a member of the Leoti V.F.W. On January 4, 1972 he married Geraldine “ Gerri “ Cooley at Leoti, Kansas. Bob’s surviving family includes His Wife - Gerri Taylor of Leoti, Kansas, Five Children - Robert R. Taylor of Thornton, Colorado, Martha & Sam Vallejo of Leoti, Kansas, Debbie Young of Garden City, Kansas, Glenita Gile of Colby, Kansas, Sheila & Kevin Edwards of El Dorado, Kansas, Three siblings - Dick & Edith Taylor of Leoti, Kansas of Bill & Gloria Taylor of Las Cruses, New Mexico, Penny & Lyle Crouch of Leoti, Kansas, Brother In Law - Marvin Bloedorn of Leoti, Kansas, Seven grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, and numerous Neices and Nephews. His parents and a sister, Dunette Bloedorn, precede him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Assembly of God Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Corey Landreth officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas with full military honors provided by the United States Army Funeral Detail and the Leoti V.F.W of Leoti, Kansas. Friends may call from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday and from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Leoti EMT's or the Wichita County Health Center in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family through the funeral home website at priceandsons.com
