Tribune, Kansas Lawrence Arlan (Mick) Peter, age 85, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Greeley County Health Center in Tribune, Kansas. Mick was born September 3, 1928 at Ellinwood, Kansas, the son of Albert & Cleda M. Christiansen Peter, Jr., he was a Farmer/Stockman and had been a Greeley County, Kansas resident since 1952. Mick was a member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tribune, Kansas, a former Greeley County School Board member, Past President of GW Credit Union in Tribune, Kansas. He also held membership in the Kansas Livestock Association, Kansas Wheat Growers Association and Melvin O. Kuder Senior Citizens Center. On December 11, 1949 he married Marjorie Marion Woelk at Albert, Kansas. Marge passed away on February 28, 2014 in Tribune, Kansas. Mick's surviving family includes- Four Children- Arla Peter- Tribune, Kansas Danny & Sally Peter- Tribune, Kansas Mark Peter- Tribune, Kansas Alan & Sherry Peter- Tribune, Kansas One sister- Joann Kipple- Pueblo, Colorado Seven Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren His parents, three brothers including Loren Peter, Duane Peter and Larry Peter, and Two Daughters, Linda Kay Peter and Diana Lynn Ramsey precede him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm (MST) Monday, May 19, 2014 at The First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas with Jeri Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, Greeley County Recreation Foundation or the Melvin O. Kuder Senior Citizens Center in care of the funeral home.
