Obituary of Kathleen Dirks

Kathleen L. Dirks, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by family and friends in Logan County, Kansas. She was born on June 12, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil Lorg and Geraldine Biermann Lorg. A resident of Scott City & Logan County, Kansas since childhood, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pence Community Church in Pence, Kansas. On December 29, 1973 she married Oren Dirks in Scott City, Kansas. He survives. Survivors include her Husband - Oren Dirks of Russell Springs, Kansas, One Son - Curt & Jolene Dirks of Monument, Kansas, Two Daughters - Tina & Dustin Latham of Winona, Kansas, Cassandra & Austin High of Scott City, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren - Landon, Shania & Breanna Dirks, Daxton, Abe & Trista Latham, and Walker & baby High, Mother - Geraldine Lorg of Scott City, Kansas, Father - Virgil Lorg of Pretty Prairie, Kansas, Two Brothers - Joe & Missy Lorg of Claremore, Oklahoma, Bobby Lorg of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Judy & Merle Koehn of Leoti, Kansas, and Patti & Larry Hughes of Scott City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by Two Brothers - Virgil Lorg, Jr. and Bill Lorg. Funeral Services will be held at the Pence Community Church in Pence, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 with Pastor Don Williams presiding. Memorials may be given to Hospice Services, Inc. of Phillipsburg or Pence Community Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pence Cemetery in Pence, Kansas. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
