Obituary of Shawn Clinton

Shawn M. Clinton, age 53, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2014 at the UF Health Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on January 25, 1961 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of R. Ward and Charlotte Ann Evers Clinton. Shawn was a resident of Scott City, Kansas until 1980 when he enlisted in the US Navy. In December of 2000 he retired from the US Navy and worked as a Civilian Contractor for LSI in Jacksonville, Florida. His most recent contract had him residing in Taiwan for the last 5 months. He was Cub Scout and then a Boy Scout. A 1979 graduate from Scott Community High School he was member of the FFA. Shawn was a lifetime member of the VFW. Survivors include his Father - R. Ward Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Three Brothers - Ward A Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Darryl Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, David Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sisters - Cheryl Rillinger of Goodland, Kansas, Karen Anderson of Slaton, Texas, Judith Wright of Scott City, Kansas and Numerous Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother - Charlotte A. Clinton. Memorial Services will be held at the Church Of The Nazarene in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 with the Rev. Ward A. Clinton and Pastor Don Williams presiding. The family has requested that NO FLOWERS be given. Instead you may give to the following Memorials: Wounded Warriors or VFW or Church Of The Nazarene % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. There will be no calling times.
