Obituary of Glenn Ford

Glenn H. Ford, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Glenn was born September 1, 1919 in Leoti, Kansas the son of Robert Earl & Hessie Brock Ford. A lifetime resident of Leoti, Kansas, he was a farmer, stockman and John Deere mechanic. Glenn served his country during World War Two in the United States Army Signal Corp in Africa and Italy. Glenn was a lifetime member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the American Agriculture Movement. On September 25, 1951 he married Vera Faye Riddiough at Clayton, New Mexico. Glenn's surviving family includes- Wife- Vera Ford- Leoti, Kansas Three children- Glenda Ford- Leoti, Kansas Terri & Jeff Ridder- Leoti, Kansas Bill & Beverly Ford- Oakley, Kansas One sister- Doris & Bill Martin- Greeley, Colorado Seven Grandchildren- Silkor & Olesya Schillings- Loveland, Colorado Samantha & Joe Ratzlaff- Hutchinson, Kansas Dustan & Mandy Ridder- Manhattan, Kansas Garrett & Julieann Ridder- Ulysses, Kansas Gage Ridder- Manhattan, Kansas Evan Ridder- Leoti, Kansas Aaron Ridder- Leoti, Kansas Five Great Grandchildren- Saigen Schillings- Loveland, Colorado Katia Schillings- Loveland, Colorado Tucker Ratzlaff- Hutchinson, Kansas Aaliyah Gomez- Ulysses, Kansas Joaquin Ridder- Ulysses, Kansas His parents, Four siblings, Ruby Schwindt, Evagene Harbach, Louise Terrell, Earl Ford and one great grandson, Joshua Ratzlaff precede him in death. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverends Brad Kirk and Paul McNall officiating. Inurnment will be at Beulah Cemetery in northern Wichita County, Kansas with military honors provided by local veterans. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday & Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Glenn H. Ford Memorial Fund for the continued restoration of Beulah Stone Church.
