Obituary of Edna Burroughs

Edna Marie Burroughs, age 82, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on January 17, 1931 in Billings, Oklahoma the daughter of Franklin F.A. and Mabel E. Major Blocker. Edna was a homemaker and had been a resident of Garden City since 1959. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Garden City, Kansas. On July 30, 1947 she married Gaylord Leroy Burroughs in Perry, Oklahoma. He died August 29, 2012 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: One Son, Charles (& Carla) Burroughs of Garden City; One Daughter, Donna (& Donnie) McAnally of Ulysses, Kansas; Two Daughters-In-Law, Aneda Burroughs of Edmund, Oklahoma; Rene' Biel of Pleasanton, California; Twelve Grandchildren and Twenty-Seven Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Gayle, John & Dale Burroughs, two brothers, Charles & Leroy Blocker and one great-granddaughter, Nyla Thomas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the First Assembly Of God Church in Garden City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. Friends may call from Noon-8:00pm on Wednesday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Church Benevolence Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
