Obituary of Alan Buerkle

Friend, Kansas Alan L. Buerkle, age 59, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at his home near Friend, Kansas. He was born on March 27, 1948 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Robert L. and Donita P. Hagler Buerkle. He was a farmer and had been a lifetime resident of the Friend community. He was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren of Friend, Kansas. He also belonged to the Tyrian Masonic Lodge of Garden City, the Scottish Rite and Midian Shrine both of Wichita, Kansas and he served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Survivors Include: Parents, Robert & Donita Buerkle of Holcomb, Kansas. One Brother, Gail L. Buerkle of Azle, Texas. Two Sisters, Anita L. Miller of Wilson, Kansas and Christine Joy of Garden City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by one brother â Gary Lee Buerkle. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas with Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding. Interment will be held in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
