Michael T. Truax, age 41, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on May 25, 1972 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Duane and Nancy Batchelder Truax. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a Web Site Designer and Moderator. He was a Evangelical Christian and was the a moderator of theironden.com, thevipboard.com and Pillarofstrength.com. Survivors include his Parents - Duane & Nancy Truax of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Nick Truax of Garden City, Kansas, One Nephew - Matthew Truax of Topeka, Kansas, Three Uncles - Rollie Truax of Wilsaw, Montana, Jeff Truax of Houston, Texas, Gary Batchelder of Holcomb, Kansas, Two Aunts - Sally Shipley of Rising City, Nebraska and Shirley Johnson of Lakewood, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents - Henry & Pearl Batchelder and Rollie & Florence Truax. Funeral Service will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m Friday, August 2, 2013. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Michael Truax Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
