Larry was a wonderful person, full of interesting anecdotes and stories from his life. He was one of the earliest members of the We Remember Dean Fan Club and later James Dean Remembered Fan Club. He was an energetic, beloved member in both of these organizations. He was extremely helpful to me when I volunteered to edit and publish the fan club's fanzine The Deanzine. I can't tell you how many articles and artifacts Larry sent to me through the years. He had many friends in the Dean fan group. We all loved Larry. He will be missed terribly. I haven't seen him in many years but he was great to send me letters letting me know how he was and what he was doing. He was a unique, special person who was friendly and very generous in sharing his hobbies of collecting James Dean memorabilia and his love of opera. Larry and I had those two interests in common. I will miss Larry.
