Obituary of Genevieve Kreutzer

Genevieve "Jean" Kreutzer, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune, Kansas. Jean was born April 8, 1936 at LaCrosse, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew & Veronica Herman Depperschmidt. A resident of Leoti, Kansas since 1960 moving from Garden City, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Jean was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas. On December 29, 1954 she married Robert Kreutzer at LaCrosse, Kansas. Jean's surviving family includes- Her husband- Robert Kreutzer- Leoti, Kansas Four children- Faye Kreutzer- Hutchinson, Kansas Kaye & Svend Kjaer- Hutchinson, Kansas Jim Kreutzer- Wray, Colorado Curtis & Lanna Kreutzer- Leoti, Kansas Three sisters- Mary & Leland Stieitz- LaCrosse, Kansas Wilma Depperschmidt- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Rita & John Liggett- Rush Center, Kansas Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren Her parents, six siblings, Anne Young, Alvin Depperschmidt, Edward Depperschmidt, Lorraine Shaffer, Elmer Depperschmidt, Ralph Depperschmidt and a great grandson precede her in death. Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas with Father Benjamin Martin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Marienthal, Kansas. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday and from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to Leoti EMT's, Greeley County Hospice or Greeley County Health Center Long Term Care in Tribune, Kansas in care of the funeral home.
