Obituary of Abbie Rupp

Abbie Mildred Rupp, age 90, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas. She was born on February 8, 1923 in La Crosse, Kansas the daughter of Jacob M. & Mary Heronema Herrman. A resident of Garden City since 1947, Mrs. Rupp was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church of Garden City, KS and the Altar Society. On August 12, 1947, she married Paul V. Rupp in La Crosse, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include: Three Sons, Daniel Rupp of Chino Hills, California, Ronald Rupp of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, and Quintin Rupp of Cedar Park, Texas; Four Brothers, Paul Herrman of La Crosse, Kansas, Rev. Gilbert Herrman of Wichita, Kansas, Ralph Herrman of Canon City, Colorado and Edward Herrman of Tacoma, Washington; Four Sisters, Esther Boxler of Wichita, Kansas, Isabel Basgall of La Crosse, Kansas, Ruth Risser of La Crosse, Kansas and Edna Mehl of Garden Grove, California; Three Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Herrman, two sisters, Irene Raniszewski & Pauline Weber, and one grandson, Matthew Rupp. Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon until 5:00pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials be given to the Knights of Columbus in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
