Charles A. Barb, age 56, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at his home in Holcomb, Kansas. He was born June 26, 1956 in Hutchinson, Kansas the son of Glenn & Teresa White Barb. A resident of Holcomb since 1982, he had worked for the Garden City Community College HVAC Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church of Deerfield, Kansas and was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association. On December 18, 1988, he married Vicki Morrisette in Holcomb, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: Two Sons, David (& Heather) Barb of W. Columbia, South Carolina and Austen Lund of Colorado Springs, Colorado; One Daughter, Sarah (& Brandon) Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; His Father, Glenn Barb of Ulysses, Kansas; Three Brothers, Tom (& Susan) Barb of Garden City, Kansas, Ed (& Diana) Barb of Garden City, Kansas and Bill (& Tammy) Barb of Ulysses, Kansas; One Sister, Karen (& Tim) Pfeifer of Hays, Kansas; One Grandson, Parker Barb of W. Columbia, South Carolina and Numerous Nephews & Nieces that were dear to him. He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Deerfield United Methodist Church in Deerfield, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00am to 8:00pm Tuesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held in the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Church or to the American Cancer Society both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
