Obituary of Lee Roberts

Lee Henderson Roberts, age 94, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Geary County Hospital in Junction City, Kansas. Lee was born March 26, 1919 in Reno County, Kansas, the son of John Wesley & Elizabeth Belle Henderson Roberts. A resident of Wichita County, Kansas since 1947, he was a farmer/stockman. Lee served as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War Two. Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas. On November 17, 1946 he married Vera Louise Bowyer at Varner, Kansas. Vera passed away on August 8, 2001 at Leoti, Kansas. Lee's surviving family includes- Five Children- Gary Roberts- Leawood, Kansas Gayle Studer- Topeka, Kansas Gordon Roberts- Kansas City, Kansas Gregory Roberts- Bennington, Kansas Garold Roberts- Granby, Missouri Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren His parents, wife and a brother, Lloyd Roberts, precede him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Gary Salmans officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas with full military honors provided by the United States Army Funeral Detail from Fort Riley, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or Wichita County Health Center in care of the funeral home.
