Wilford D. Crist, age 93, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on April 18, 1920 in Scott County, Kansas, the son of Harry Edward and Rhoda Pearl Simmons Crist. A lifetime resident of Scott County & Scott City, Kansas, he was a Farmer and Stockman. Wilford was a US Army Veteran of World War II with the rank of Staff Sargent. He was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas. He was also a past member or the School Board District 7 & 10, Trustee of the Wheatland Electric Board for 13 years, Deacon, Moderator & Sunday School Teacher. On March 27, 1943 he married Louise D. Graham in Leesville, Louisiana. She survives. Survivors Include his Wife - Louise D. Crist of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Terry & Cindy Crist of San Antonio, Texas, One Sister - Neva Mae Daniels of Abilene, Kansas, Three Grandsons - Mark & Gretchen Graber of Wichita, Kansas, Treven Crist of Fort Collins, Colorado, Colten Crist of San Antonio, Texas, One Great Grandson - Cordell Graber of Wichita, Kansas, One Great Granddaughter - Natoshia Palmer of Kansas City, Kansas, One Great Great Grandchild - Deion Tiller of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Daughter - Connie Crist Cate, One Brother - Alfred Crist and One Grandson - Bradley Graber. Funeral Services will be held at the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 with the Rev. Jon Tuttle & Rev. Don Williams presiding. Memorials may be given to the Prairie View Church of the Brethren or Pence Community Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
