Craft Family, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Craft. We've had the pleasure of meeting him and he was one of the most gentle and kind people we'd ever met. His presence was both comforting and peaceful. God bless Mama Craft, our dear friend DeAnn and the entire Craft Family. May the memories that you have shared live for eternity. Heaven has received one of God's best - we can all rejoice in that.

My deepest condolences to Rege and the entire Craft family. I have nothing but fond memories of “Coach”. I’ll remember his wonderful smile and jovial laugh. His stories and jokes were also keepers... well, most of them anyway :) Whether it was in the church, the classroom, or on the court, I am grateful for lessons in life that he taught.

Mr. Craft was one of my favorite teachers and I so agree with others that he made us think about the facts instead of just accept. I still recall many of his funny stories. I got the chance to visit with them when they came to Plainview School in Colorado to watch their granddaughter. He still was telling me stories with that wry sense of humor of his. It was with great joy that when my folks' home sold on Magnolia that the Crafts moved into it! Our family was very pleased with that. The world lost a great man but his family and friends hopefully will carry on the great message and example that he gave us all. Rest in peace, Mr. Craft!

Sorry to hear the news about Mr. Craft. He was an excellent history teacher and a great role model for those of us he coached. (Tennis team, in my case.) A very gentle, humble, and funny man who really left a mark.

Dave was a mentor to all of us who were his colleagues. He set the bar high and led by example. He was a joy to work with and a great friend to all. I am proud to have known him and to have worked with him. Blessings to the family and may God give you strength during this time. Thanks, Dave, for everything.

We did not know Dave for a long time, and because we only visited at ball games, we were not especially close. However, even our brief and intermittent association with Dave let us know that he was the real deal--the full package--a devoted husband, loving father, and respected friend. We first met Dave in Beaumont, then in Edinburg, and thereafter through DeeAnn. We were and are blessed to know Dave and Pauline. Our prayers are offerings of gratitude for this life well lived and pleas for healing of the family he cherished.

To one of my favorite HS teachers. He challenged us to think, not just regurgitate facts. This made a big difference to me and is still remembered and appreciated.

So sad to hear that my favorite teacher has passed. I was in his class in 1986. He taught me a lot about life by the way he treated us. Even though I haven't seen him since I was a senior I think of him, and will continue to do so, every time I interact with a teenager. As an adult I truly appreciate how he treated us knucklehead teenagers with patience, kindness, and respect :) My best to the Craft family.

What a sad day for this earth but a wonderful celebration in heaven. Mr. Craft was not only an amazing teacher, but we had the great gift of being next door neighbors of this wonderful family. The Crafts certainly made life on Mikes Drive fun. I hope that your good memories help get through the sadness that comes when you are missing Mr. Craft. He was an amazing man who I know will be greatly missed. Love to you all...wish I could be there, but will be thinking of you this week.
