Obituary of Arthur Oldham

Arthur Loy Oldham, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Wichita County Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Loy was born August 12, 1925 in Leoti, Kansas, the son of Lee & Millie Scott Oldham and was a 1943 graduate of Wichita County High School and from Denver University. He served his country in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve as a Naval Aviator following World War Two achieving the rank of Ensign. He was a retired farmer and former owner/operator of Western Motors and Western Hardware in Leoti, Kansas. Loy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas as well as the Anthem Masonic Lodge in Scott City, Kansas, Aircraft Pilots Owners Association and Pi Kappa Alpha at Kansas State University. On January 1, 1950 he married Eileen Davis at Denver, Colorado. He later married Anna Mae Hensley on October 12, 1974 at Hutchinson, Kansas. Loy's surviving family includes- His Wife Anna Mae Oldham- Leoti, Kansas Three children- Scott & Belinda Oldham- Leoti, Kansas Pam Inmann- Castle Rock, Colorado Lisa & Ernie Oetter- Denver, Colorado Six grandchildren Chris Inmann- Denver, Colorado Brittany Oetter- Denver, Colorado Nikki Oetter- San Francisco, California Brent Oldham- Lakin, Kansas Clay Oldham- Leoti, Kansas Trisha Oldham- Leoti, Kansas Seven Great Grandchildren His parents and a brother, Kenneth L. Oldham precede him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Mike Howard officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas with military graveside honors provided by the United States Navy Funeral Detail from Wichita, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday and from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Long Term Care, First Presbyterian Church or Wichita County Amusement Association in care of the funeral home.
