Alexia Basgall, age 96, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on July 18, 1916 in Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of Louis and Magdalena Unrein Schuckman. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1948 moving from LaCrosse, Kansas, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, Scott County Hospital Auxiliary, Busy Bee Quilters and Sunflower EHU all of Scott City, Kansas. On May 23, 1938 she married Thomas Basgall in Liebenthal, Kansas. He passed away on October 1, 1979 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include her One Daughter - Marilyn Krebs of Scott City, Kansas, One Granddaughter - Deena & Stephen Hedges of Burlington, Kansas, One Grandson - Brad & Tammy Krebs of Quincy, Illinois, Two Great Grandsons - Captain Benjamin & Shasin Hedges of Tampa, FL and Andrew Hedges of Pittsburg, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Brother - William Schuckman and Two Sisters - Gebharde Moeder and Regina Ross, One Granddaughter - Tonda Ann Krebs and One Son In Law - William D. Krebs. Vigil Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 with Fr. Bernard Felix presiding. Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday@ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
