Obituary of Dorothy Simpkins

Dorothy Marie Simpkins, age 90, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on June 27, 1922 in Lakin, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Alice Henderson McColm. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1965 moving from Colorado, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Garden City, Kansas. In 1968 she married W. Blair Simpkins in Garden City, Kansas. He passed away in 1975 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors include her Daughter - Florence Ramsey of Garden City, Kansas, Twelve Grandchildren, Twenty One Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great-Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Son - William J. Bryan, One Daughter - Earlene Marie Bryan, Three Sisters, and Two Brothers. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas with the Gary Rhodes presiding. Interment will be held at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Dorothy M. Simpkins Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
