Obituary of Matlida Newcomer

Matilda " Tillie" Ruth Newcomer, age 87, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Wichita County Health Center Long Term Care in Leoti, Kansas. Tillie was born May 25, 1925 in Gove County, Kansas, the daughter of John & Verna Garner McLean. A lifetime resident of Scott & Wichita Counties, she was a homemaker. Tillie was a member of Christ Covenant Church in Leoti, Kansas In 1947 she married John Molner. She married Ben Newcomer on May 25, 1976 at Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on March 25, 1995 at Wichita, Kansas. Tillie's surviving family includes- Seven Children- Jerry Molner- Leoti, Kansas Rick Molner- Garden City, Kansas Linda Molner- Newport, Virginia Lloyd Molner- Jacksonville, Florida Berdie Molner- Leoti, Kansas Faye Molner- Leoti, Kansas Carol Valdez- Winchester, Kansas Three siblings- Andy McLain- Lavant, Kansas Harriett Riddick- Leoti, Kansas Eunice McLain- California 13 grandchildren Her parents, one son, 3 daughters and one brother proceed her in death. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Christ Covenant Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Bob Everest officiating. Inurnment will be in Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. There will be no calling times. Memorials may be given to the Christ Covenant Church in Leoti, Kansas.
