Obituary of Bessie Burch

Bessie Irene Burch, age 95, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Bessie was born February 6, 1917 at her family homestead in rural Wichita County, Kansas, the daughter of Roy & Helen Graham Elder. A lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Bessie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Leoti, Kansas. On September 26, 1934 she married Lee Burch in Leoti, Kansas. Lee passed away on April 22, 1993 at Tribune, Kansas. Bessie's surviving family includes- Ten Children- Wilma & Ron Martin- Ulysses, Kansas Jack & Mildred Burch- Leoti, Kansas Betty & Craig Radloff- Ulysses, Kansas Lester & Lyla Burch- Hartshorne, Oklahoma Glen & Kelma Burch- Leoti, Kansas Phyllis & Art Lane- Eads, Colorado Edith & Dick Taylor- Leoti, Kansas Alva & Nancy Burch- Holcomb, Kansas Ken & SueNell Burch- Ingalls, Kansas Patsy & Bill Riley- Leoti, Kansas Two sisters- Alice Summers- Leoti, Kansas Neva Duncan- Leoti, Kansas Sixty-Four Grandchildren, One Hundred- Six Great Grandchildren, Thirty-Three Great Great Grandchildren. Her parents, six brother, three sisters, a son- in- law, four grandchildren and one great grandchild precede her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church in Leoti, Kansas with a grandson, Frank Martin officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas. Friends may call from noon until 8:00 pm Tuesday and from 10:00 am until noon Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Leoti Volunteer Fire Department/EMS or the Wichita County Amusement Association in care of the funeral home.
