Obituary of Shana Marez

Shana (McGaughey) Marez, age 44, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the University Of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 10, 1968 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Charles Frank and Joyce Lea Schaplowsky McGaughey. A 1986 graduate of Garden City High School, she had worked at Wal-Mart for several years. On May 4, 1991, she married Robert D. Marez in Garden City, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include: Two Daughters, Taylor Marez of the home and Jordan Marez of the home; Her Mother, Joyce McGaughey of Garden City, Kansas; Two Brothers, Kevin McGaughey of Bates City, Missouri and Laine McGaughey of Garden City, Kansas and One Sister, Laree Nason of Berlin, New Hampshire; She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Father Rene Labrador presiding. Friends may call from 1:00-8:00pm on Sunday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
