Obituary of Paul Edwards

Paul F. Edwards, age 96, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on December 3, 1916 in rural Sheridan County, Kansas, the son of Rutherford O. and Delia C. Hockman Edwards. After faming in Northwest Wichita County, Kansas since 1946 he retired and moved to Scott City, Kansas in 1981. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and was a Farmer. He was a member of the Church of The Nazarene of Scott City, Kansas. On September 20, 1940 he married Bernice E. Wright in Hutchinson, Kansas. She passed away on April 26, 2007 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors Include his Three Sons - Keith Edwards of Russell Springs, Kansas, Max Edwards of Scott City, Kansas, Steve Edwards of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Jeanene Overholt of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ten Grandchildren and Thirty One Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Two Brothers - Bill Edwards and Dean Edwards, Four Sisters - Nola Chambers, Margarete Mountford, Helen Basset, Irene Hartman, Two Half Brothers - Ira Hatten and Roy Hatten, and One Half Sister - Edna Bollinger. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Scott County Bread Basket or Park Lane Nursing Home % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home - Scott City from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
