Obituary of William Woodard

William Raymond Woodard, age 76, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on September 4, 1936 in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Raymond O. and Rachel Whiteley Woodard. Mr. Woodard was a retired civil service employee for the Federal Government and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of The Brethren of Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: Two Brothers, Wesley J. Woodard of Garden City, Kansas, and Michael G. Woodard of Garden City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Victor D. Woodard. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village Chapel in Garden City, Kansas. Friends may call from 10am-8pm on Tuesday and from 1pm-8pm on Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the to church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
